Our skin has the ability to absorb light and convert it into energy. When the LED light hits the skin, the cells in the skins dermis will convert the light into ATP (adenosine triphosphate). This is the fuel that the cell needs to do its job. LED is a great tool to be used in age management. The fibroblast cells in the dermis produce collagen and elastin, therefore LED gives the cells the energy they need to stimulate collagen and elastin production.
