What is electrolysis + who is it for?
Electrolysis is a progressive but permanent solution for hair removal. The treatment involves inserting a very fine and flexible needle into each individual hair follicle. A small amount of current is then released which destroys part of the hair follicle.
Electrolysis is a very inclusive treatment. It is suitable for any gender, any skin tone and any hair colour. It is an ideal solution for dealing with white, grey or non-pigmented hairs that other methods are unable to treat.
We can treat various areas of the body including; lip, chin, neck and other areas of the face. Fingers, toes, nipples, chest and the tummy area.
The treatments.
With electrolysis, we recommend booking an initial consultation to ensure the treatment is suitable for you and will meet your goals.
We work in time slots, your therapist will advise on what you should book for. This may change from time to time depending on your goals.
We will likely recommend that we see you more often to begin with, then as your treatment plan progresses your treatments will become less frequent.
If you have been waxing or tweezing, the hairs will need time to grow back through so your therapist can understand your full hair growth cycle.
Depending on what we are treating, we will likely be working together for a while to give time to successfully treat all the hairs in the area.
What will happen at my first appointment?
We perform a consultation to discuss the treatment, your goals and medical history. Once we have ascertained that the treatment is suitable for you we will book you in for your first treatment.
At your treatment we will assess your skin and hair and select the correct needle for you on the day. All needles are sterile, single use disposable needles that vary in size and flexibility and are selected specifically for you.
Our therapists are fully trained and insured. We have been inspected by environmental health and hold our full licence to carry out electrolysis treatments.
When you are finished, you will be given aftercare advise and booked in for your next treatment. We are always here to help and support you through your journey.
